It’s A Boy For Kate And Will!
It seems like just yesterday news broke that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were expecting their first child. Fast-forward nine months, and many stylish maternity outfits, later we have a Royal Baby boy! After eight LONG hours of waiting since we first heard Kate was in labor, the official Royal Palace Twitter feed has finally updated. At 4:24 pm England time, Kate safely delivered a baby boy. We now know what the baby will be officially named, or more specifically, his title: His Royal Highness [Name] of Cambridge. This is the first time that name has been used for a royal baby in 190 years since the naming of Prince George, Duke of Cambridge in 1819.
According to the tweets, the baby is 8lbs. 6oz., Will was present for the birth and both sides of the family are delighted with the news. Kate and baby are both doing well and will remain in the hospital overnight.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have released a statement on the birth of the Prince’s grandchild:
Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild. It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy.
Congrats to the Duke, Duchess and the rest of their proud family! Now, we wait for the next announcement: the name. We can’t even imagine how many dumb celebrity tweets there will be when that news breaks.
