Do you struggle with transforming your outfits from day to night? Don’t worry, CF is here to help turn that daily annoyance into a fun challenge. Class to Night Out focuses on one piece per week, and aims to help you take your look from study sessions in the library to dancing the night away.

One of my favorite things about interning this summer (besides the valuable work experience) is finally getting to wear all the cute, professional “big girl” outfits I’ve been dreaming of since I was little. (What? I watched The West Wing a lot.)

The downside? Making those outfits acceptable for post-work activities is not exactly simple. If you’re the girl wearing a black two-piece suit and pearls to go sight-seeing in the city with your non-intern friends, you will look like a weirdo (and a sweaty weirdo at that), so versatile pieces are a must – especially in the summertime!

That’s why this week I’ll be showing you one of my favorite work-and-play staples, the striped pencil skirt. These babies are little more youthful than your garden variety pencil skirts, but still look super-polished for the office. When your mom is celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, a great sense of style is pretty much in your genes and jeans. And yes, I’m aware of how cheesy that pun was.

Everyone’s favorite celebrity stylist dresses her son Skyler Berman in boho staples, like loose cuffed jeans, slip-on shoes, and lightweight, blouse-y tops. He’s only been around on earth a short while, but it seems as though Skyler already has a signature piece that completes each of his outfits — a fantastic hat. From fedoras to beanies, newsboys to floppy bucket hats, Skyler appears to have more headwear than Jack White and Johnny Depp – combined!

Although there’s probably a chance Skyler ditches the hat within a couple years (come on…hats, no matter how cool they may look, aren’t exactly conducive to playing freeze tag on the kindergarten playground), there’s no question that he’s currently one of the best-dressed babies the modern world has ever seen. It’s A Boy For Kate And Will!

It seems like just yesterday news broke that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were expecting their first child. Fast-forward nine months, and many stylish maternity outfits, later we have a Royal Baby boy! After eight LONG hours of waiting since we first heard Kate was in labor, the official Royal Palace Twitter feed has finally updated. At 4:24 pm England time, Kate safely delivered a baby boy. We now know what the baby will be officially named, or more specifically, his title: His Royal Highness [Name] of Cambridge. This is the first time that name has been used for a royal baby in 190 years since the naming of Prince George, Duke of Cambridge in 1819.

According to the tweets, the baby is 8lbs. 6oz., Will was present for the birth and both sides of the family are delighted with the news. Kate and baby are both doing well and will remain in the hospital overnight.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have released a statement on the birth of the Prince’s grandchild:

Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild.  It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy.

Congrats to the Duke, Duchess and the rest of their proud family! Now, we wait for the next announcement: the name. We can’t even imagine how many dumb celebrity tweets there will be when that news breaks.

Ah, uni. Being a uni student sure has it’s perks and drawbacks. First, I am barely even on campus given that my degree Commerce/Law has minimum contact hours. Despite all the self-learning that has to happen behind the scenes (cue about 100 pages+ of law readings we are prescribed to decode and summarise every single week), it’s really not all that bad given I live almost an hour from campus. I’d rather not make that trip every day. Then there’s the yearly 4 months+ worth of weeks off that aren’t so bad either. And then there’s exams. The crazy stupid anti-love of about a month of hair pulling destined to make me disappear off my blog twice yearly in early June and late October. The explanation of where I have been for the past few weeks. Well I’m glad that’s over!

During SWOTVAC, whenever I’m not in the mood to study, I sit in my studio and make headpieces. By the end of it all, I had quite a collection of flowery goodness waiting to be shot and listed. So that is exactly what I did yesterday. I shot over a thousand photos and edited more than 200 of them late last night. It was so good to finally spend time doing things that I love and I was so happy to have been able to complete my goal of shooting and listing every single new creation I had sitting in my studio so far that I almost forgot to go to bed!
